Today we are going to introduce to you our weekly signature “Dining Room Inspiration”. In Greece, it is believed that when entering someone’s home for the first time, you should do it with the right foot first to ensure good luck for the home, so in order to do the same with our signature, we decided to start with the most stunning industrial loft in Tribeca, New York. The homeowner contacted Décor Aid to help furnish the space and bring it all together for the family. An open floor plan and an abundance of natural light set the tone for the design concept, which needed to accommodate a newborn son and the client’s desire to outfit the space with industrial-inspired furniture that was also flexible for entertaining and with unique industrial dining room lighting designs.

Décor Aid suggested contrasty, textured neutrals inspired by the white-washed brick. Besides the main colors, muted taupes and cloudy grays, they incorporated a variety of materials, like cowhide, suede, cotton linen weaves, fur, and matte metal. The biggest statement is the lighting installation, which includes a series of FLOS String Lights hung at different heights.

The client requested a conversation nook that could flow into the dining area, all of which had to be separate from where the family would watch television.
To separate the television area from the rest of the home, interior designers picked a sectional couch, which faces away from the conversation and dining areas to frame a geometric, patterned area rug.
The final result is a hip, industrial loft space that this welcoming family of three can now call home.
