British Craftsmanship is a European Treasure. To support it, London Craft Week was created, “an annual event which showcases fine craftsmanship over a journey-of-discovery program featuring peculiar workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated master artisans, renowned studios, art galleries, shops and luxury brands.” This is what you can find at London Craft Week.
Now speaking of Guy Salter, he is de Chairman of London Craft Week, he said that “London Craft Week is a response to a renaissance in the appreciation of creativity and craft; to the role of hand, head, unique skills and true talent. It is another example of what, at its best, the world’s creative capital does so well – mixing glamourwith cutting edge; heritage and contemporary and the commercial with the cultural”.
We’ve to value the British Craftsmanship because it is something beyond words, with incredible techniques and passion for the work. London Craft Week was created to elevate the craftsmanship to a whole new level.
William & Son were the first-class brand that offers exquisite collections from jewelry and handbags to board games and guns, most of which can be custom made.
All of this has included projects like A Celebration of British Craftsmanship, that shows us the behind the scenes of the dedicated lives of some of the craftsmen that the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) supported over the years. Here you can have an idea of the importance of the British Craftsmanship.

Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust was created a long time ago, on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s 90th Birthday and it has one important mission that remains until today: “to maintain Britain’s cultural heritage by supporting excellence in British craftsmanship through funding the training and education of talented and aspiring craftsmen.”

You’ve had the possibility to understand a little bit more about the British Craftsmanship and so did we! One more thing, Britain’s traditional crafts and techniques will continue to grow and expand “if luxury brands, associations and the government keep on funding incredible projects to raise the quality level of clothing, accessories, watches, jewelry, silverwareand homeware designs, among others.”
