Tina Turner’s Anniversary
Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock, on the 26th of November in 1939 and she is an american singer, dancer and actress. She began her career with 19 years as a featured singer with Ikes’s Turner’s Kings of Rhythm. She was married with Ike, but they split up and she had to begin her career solo through live performances back in 1983 with the single “Let’s Stay Together”. In 1984 she released her fifth album “Private Dancer” who was a worldwide phenomenon.
This album has the song “What’s Love Got to Do With It” which became Tina’s biggest hit and won four Grammy Awards. Trough her incredible career she won 12 Grammy Awards. She is the only female artist to garner concurrent Grammy nominations for pop, rock, and R&B.
