We’re starting with the traditional art of… Leaf Gilding. Although it might seem easy, it’s a very complex technique only used by artisans.
By now, you know that this Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit is going to be held in Gondomar, the capital of Filigree. So, it’s rather obvious that there’s going to be a live showcase that will promote this art.
Arraiolos Rugs or Tapestry. Some of the most traditional Products of Portugal. Inspired by Persian Carpets and consist of rugs made of embroidered wool, this art is exclusively made in a traditional manner in a small town of Portugal.
Another classic art of Portugal is Lace of Bilros. Produced by – “the successive crossing or interspersed of textile yarns executed on the pike and with the aid of pins and bobbins.” This textile art form almost went missing but it was revived by the Portuguese Government.
Speaking of textiles arts, Embroidery is another art that is common in Europe. One of the oldest in the world, this Summit you’ll have the first look in live showcases! The perfect place to learn and have fun!
