Richard Keith Langman was born in Alabama, and studied at Parsons School of Design, graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology in interior design. He moved to London, enrolling in the Study Centre for the History of Fine and Decorative Arts, where he expanded his knowledge of English Design and decoration.

After getting his degree in London, Richard Keith Langman returned to New York City, where he gained ten years of experience on Irvine & Fleming‘s version of luxury English country house style. He then launched his own company in 1994, working with some of the city’s most legendary ladies such as Mrs William F. Buckley and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
